Galley Dress Code and Rules for Coronado NAB Outing

Scouts and Leaders must be in full Scout Uniform while eating in the Naval Base Galley.  Non uniformed adults, please refer to the Galley Dress Code below.  Dinner is planned for 1800hrs on 8-29-09, and breakfast at 0800hrs on 8-30-09.

Galley Dress Code:

1. Shoes shall be worn at all times. Sandals with strap or sandals with socks are allowed. No shower shoes.
2. White, green or brown undershirts are prohibited.
3. Cut-off pants, tanks tops, half shirts and athletic attire are prohibited.
4. Mesh shirts or see through materials without appropriate undergarments are prohibited.
5. Sweat suits with the exception of leisure suits are prohibited.
6. Coveralls and shorts without front pockets are prohibited.
7. Distinctive uniform articles worn with civilian clothes are prohibited.
8. Clothing displaying derogatory, obscene or pro-drug slogans or pictures is prohibited.
9. Clean and neat uniforms and civilian attire shall be worn at all times.
10. Unless utilizing the take-out service, food will not be removed from the General Mess.
11. Do not lounge, leave hats on the table or read in the General Mess.
12. Please read the Menu of the Day before signing in; do not take food from more than one line.
13. Within all cases of disagreement, the Mess Deck Master-at –Arms and the Duty Watch Captain will determine what is appropriate.
14. No flight jackets unless worn with flight suits.
15. Bag packs shall not be carried on the serving line or into any dining area. Ball caps and bag packs hooks are available upon entering the main dining area.
16. Take –out service is available upon request for Duty Watch standers only. Duty Watch standers shall be in uniform of the day.

Please remove Hats or any Head gear upon entering this dining facility.

Things to remember while visiting the Naval Base:

  1. No photography or videography is permitted on base. NO EXCEPTIONS.
  2. Obey all Restricted Access signs.
  3. Any designated flight line is off limits.
  4. Naval Base Coronado is home to many endangered species. Please be respectful and stay clear of any areas that are posted as habitats.
  5. Please be aware that certain facilities are marked for Department of Defense card holders only. i.e. Navy Exchange, Commissary, Mini Mart.
  6. McDonalds and other fast food facilities are open for guests of Naval Base Coronado.
